Warm, thorough care for you and your baby at every single visit.
PMAD = Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders. We screen formally at one visit, and keep a caring eye on how you’re doing at every one.
Who it’s for
You don’t have to have birthed with us. These packages are separate from our pregnancy care. They’re for anyone who wants a real hand in the fourth trimester, wherever your baby was born.
You’re discharged in a day or two with a lot of questions and a six-week appointment. We fill that gap, and you never have to load a newborn into a car to be seen.
Wonderful care, often a short window afterward. We can pick up where they leave off and stay with you through those first six weeks.
Maybe feeding is hard, maybe this baby feels different from the last, maybe you just want eyes on you. That’s reason enough. No referral needed.
Why it matters
For nine months, someone checks on you constantly. Then the baby arrives, and for many families, care simply stops. The common standard is a single visit at six weeks, right at the point when the hardest part is often already behind you.
But the fourth trimester is where so much actually happens: your body healing, feeding finding its rhythm, sleep coming apart, your heart adjusting to a person who didn’t exist a moment ago. That season deserves someone paying attention early, and more than once.
So our postpartum care starts in the days after birth and keeps going, in your home or our office, for as long as your package covers. You shouldn’t have to wonder whether what you’re feeling is normal, or wait six weeks to ask.
What to expect
A visit is unhurried and covers both of you, because you’re both new at this.
We check your healing: bleeding, your belly, any stitches, how your body is coming back together. We talk about pain, sleep, and how feeding is really going. And we ask how you’re doing, not just how the baby’s doing, including a formal mood screening at one visit, with a caring eye on it at every one.
Weight and growth, a check for jaundice, cord and skin, diapers in and out, and a full head-to-toe newborn exam. If feeding needs work, we work on it right there: latch, positioning, supply, whatever it takes.
You’ll have time to ask everything on your list, and the odd question you didn’t want to Google at 3 a.m. If something needs more than we can offer, we’ll say so and help you find the right person.

Tell us a little about you and your baby, and we’ll help you choose the right fit.
