Payment Policies

Payment & deposit

• A $700 deposit is due within 7 days of signing your agreement. It reserves your due date on our limited monthly schedule and is applied toward your balance.
• Your package price (the global maternity fee) is paid in full by 34 weeks of pregnancy.
• Unless otherwise arranged, a minimum of $400 is due at each visit until the balance is paid.
• Accepted payment methods: cash, check (payable to A New Dawn Birth Services LLC), Zelle, debit/credit card, and HSA/FSA by check to the LLC. See the Payments page for tap-to-pay options.

Booking & acceptance

Payment alone does not reserve or guarantee a service. For anything requiring payment, you must first reach out to us, through an inquiry or another form of communication, and be accepted for care. If a payment is made for a service without having been accepted, we may be unable to provide it, and your payment will be refunded minus any card-processing fees we incurred.

Refunds

• The $700 deposit is non-refundable.
• A partial refund may be available for a transfer of care before 34 weeks of pregnancy. Amounts kept are calculated as $400 per completed prenatal visit, plus the $700 deposit.
• No refund is given for a transfer of care after 34 weeks, for any reason, including hospital transfer, a birth before the midwife arrives, care falling outside the scope of home birth, not being notified in time to attend, or backup midwives being needed for simultaneous clients.
• When a refund is due, a check is mailed to you for the amount of the discounted (cash/Zelle/check) price. We’ll confirm your current mailing address when processing your refund.

Late & returned payments

• A $25 late fee applies when a payment is more than 5 days late.
• A $35 fee applies to any returned or bounced check.
• Unpaid balances may be referred to a collection agency, and unsettled bills may result in a pause or refusal of service. If financial difficulty arises, please talk with us. Communication comes first.

Travel

• Clients living more than 45 minutes from the 85140 area may incur a $750 extended travel fee for midwifery care. Distance is measured by Google Maps’ fastest route under normal traffic.
• À la carte add-ons: NanoVi is in-office only; CFT is in-office, with a $40 travel charge per visit for home visits.

Insurance & HSA/FSA

• We are out-of-network with all insurers and do not bill insurance directly. You may contract with a third-party billing company to submit claims on your behalf.
• Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed, and you remain responsible for the full maternity fee regardless of any insurance payment. If your insurer reimburses you directly, please let us know so we can settle any balance.
• A superbill is available for clients receiving midwifery care or postpartum care services.
• HSA/FSA is accepted by check to A New Dawn Birth Services LLC.
