Hi, I’m Midwife Kayla!
I’ve been fascinated by pregnancy, birth, and newborns for as long as I can remember. The fascination with birth came when I witnessed a mountain lion giving birth at the zoo on my first-grade field trip. It came as no surprise when I began my journey into midwifery just six weeks after the birth of my first son. During my own birth experience, I knew I had found my calling.
I began assisting home birth midwives while completing the PEP process through NARM, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in out-of-hospital birth. I also attended births at a high-volume birth center, which broadened my clinical experience with a wide range of families and birth situations. I’ve been a Licensed Midwife since March 2022.
Today, I’m the owner and founding midwife of A New Dawn Birth Services, where I’m dedicated to providing individualized, evidence-based, and compassionate care to families throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care.
I believe birth is a normal, physiological process, and that every family deserves informed choices, respectful care, and a provider who truly listens. I strive to build meaningful relationships with my clients, creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their journey into motherhood.
My husband, Jacob, and I have two energetic boys whom we homeschool. As a family, we love spending time outdoors: hiking, exploring mountain trails, discovering streams, and appreciating God’s creation together. I find some of God’s greatest masterpieces in both nature and in the incredible design of pregnancy and birth.
For me, midwifery is far more than a career. It’s a calling. I’m committed to continually growing my knowledge and skills so I can provide the highest quality care to the families I’m honored to serve.

Hi, I’m Midwife Kaylee!
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and together we’re raising our 5 kids!
I believe pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are sacred, transformative seasons that deserve compassionate, individualized care. My philosophy is rooted in trusting the natural physiology of birth while ensuring families feel informed, respected, and empowered every step of the way. My goal is to build genuine relationships with the women I serve so they feel safe, supported, and truly cared for throughout their journey into parenthood.
When I’m not catching babies or caring for families, you’ll usually find me with my kids outdoors somewhere or trying a new recipe! I love being able to create, whether that be crafting, baking or making herbal tinctures.
It is an incredible honor to walk alongside families during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives, and I truly believe every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and deeply supported as she welcomes her baby into the world.

Because we intentionally limit how many births we take each month, and because each of us keeps at least one weekend a month to rest and be with our own families, we can be fully present, rested, and ready for you. Having two midwives means there’s always trusted coverage, and it’s part of how we keep giving families our very best. 🌙
